2012 Summit Emerging Media Award: National Down Syndrome Society

The National Down Syndrome Society has been honored with the Leader Award in the Summit Emerging Media Award Competition. The Summit Emerging Media Award was given to the National Down Syndrome Society for the redesign, migration, and CMS configuration of its website.

The Summit Emerging Media Award (Summit EMA) evolved to recognize those pushing the bounds of the communication badlands. The Leader Award recognizes honorees for directing movement and helping to lead the industry.

The U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science has been honored with a Innovator Award in the Summit Emerging Media Award Competition. The Summit Emerging Media Award was given to the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science for the Optimized mobile view for their mobile website.

The Summit Emerging Media Award (Summit EMA) evolved to recognize those pushing the bounds of the communication badlands. This award is presented to nominees who demonstrate keen foresight in emerging media, recognition for introducing new methods, and acknowledgment for setting the forefront of the technological evolution of the social web.

2012 Pinnacle Award: The National Cherry Blossom Festival

The National Cherry Blossom Festival has been honored with a gold Pinnacle Award. The International Festivals & Events Association/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Award was given to the National Cherry Blossom Festival for the Best Event Website for www.nationalcherryblossomfestival.org.

Each year, the International Festivals & Events Association recognizes outstanding accomplishments and top quality creative, promotional, operational and community outreach programs and materials produced by festivals and events around the world, with the Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards Competition. The IFEA/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards have provided many outstanding examples of how event producers can use innovation and creativity to achieve a higher level of success.
