On June 25, Q welcomed Caroline Perkins, the newest member of our Strategy team. Caroline was born and raised in Greensboro, NC and recently graduated from North Carolina State University with a major in Communication, specifically Public Relations. Caroline has worked with the NC State Men’s Basketball team where she became an ACC basketball fanatic. In her off-time, Caroline likes to travel, hang out with her friends, and run or bike outdoors.
Will is an experienced .NET developer and CMS consultant. He makes the commute to Q from Baltimore every morning by way of train, giving him time to ponder how to solve the world’s problems…and to nap. When not at the computer, he enjoys spending time outdoors, live music, and mixing tunes as a DJ. His son is 5 years old and has a healthy obsession with Star Wars.
Q’s Creative Director, JoJo Spiker will be leveraging his 14+ years of design management experience in teaching a course within the Pratt Institute’s Arts and Cultural Management Department entitled Advertising and Promotion. This course examines approaches to developing, evaluating, and managing advertising and promotion strategies. Students will be introduced to advertising concepts and the challenges to advertising products and services in the 21st century.
Congratulations @jojospiker on receiving such a prestigious opportunity!
This week, Q is excited to introduce our new developer Matthew Mols. Matthew grew up near Annapolis, MD, but he now calls Silver Spring home. He is a recent graduate of Penn State, where he helped develop an online system for the Urban Gaming Club (urbangaming.org), which hosts large scale games such as Humans vs. Zombies (humansvszombies.org) on campus at PSU. Since graduating, Matt has worked in consulting, concentrating on software development for the web in ASP.NET. Outside of work, he enjoys adding to his collection of guitars, playing video games, and exploring all that DC has to offer.
Washington, D.C. – agencyQ, a Washington, DC based digital marketing agency, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a 2011 International Davey Award in the government category for the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science (SC) website redesign.
The Davey Awards recognize the creative excellence of smaller companies and firms world-wide. David defeated the giant Goliath with a big idea and a little rock. The annual International Davey Awards honors the achievements of the “Creative Davids” who derive their strength from big ideas, rather than stratospheric budgets.
agencyQ is honored to receive a Silver Davey award for the redesign of the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science, which launched in March 2011. The SC is the single largest supporter of basic research in the physical sciences in the United States, providing more than 40 percent of total funding for this vital area of national importance. The Office of Science site offers stories of discovery and innovation, and with an organized and powerful CMS, Sitecore in place, it allows for the users to keep the content fresh with consistent branding and design.
Sean Brean, Founder and CEO of agencyQ, said, “Our team particularly enjoys working with the SC because their commitment to technology and innovation matches ours.”
