For NGC, this project was more than a website upgrade, it was an inflection point in how the organization connects with its audiences and operates behind the scenes. By pairing performance with personalization, and structure with flexibility, the new digital experience is now a strategic asset that supports recruitment, brand trust, and innovation.

The Challenge

The Opportunity to Evolve a Mission-Critical Platform

As a global leader in aerospace and defense, NGC operates at the forefront of innovation. But their digital presence, including their primary public-facing website, wasn’t keeping pace with the organization’s ambitions.

The existing platform created friction for both internal teams and external users. Job seekers, one of NGC’s highest-priority audiences, struggled to navigate the careers section. Internal teams were constrained by a rigid publishing model that limited content flexibility and required extensive developer involvement. And with increasing demands for a personalized, high-performance web experience, the site’s underlying infrastructure was no longer sufficient to support future growth.

NGC recognized the need to reimagine its digital platform -- not just as a marketing asset, but as a strategic tool to engage talent, unify teams, and support long-term innovation.

The Solution

A Human-Centered Transformation with Operational Impact

AgencyQ partnered with NGC to lead a full-scale transformation of its digital experience. This effort began with extensive discovery: documenting complex requirements, understanding internal workflows, and identifying pain points across the user journey.

Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all platform upgrade, AgencyQ engineered a composable, headless solution that combined flexibility, performance, and long-term scalability. The new architecture, built on Sitecore XM and deployed via Vercel, was selected for its ability to meet NGC’s incredibly high standards for uptime, security, and performance.

Just as critical was the human side of the transformation. The new platform empowered NGC’s internal teams—reducing reliance on developers, standardizing content workflows through Sitecore’s publishing model, and enabling more agile collaboration across departments. For the first time, NGC was able to implement a centralized enterprise ticketing system, bringing structure and visibility to content governance and digital operations.

These foundational changes weren’t just technical upgrades—they represented a cultural shift. By connecting teams and removing friction from daily operations, the new platform helped unlock new levels of speed, consistency, and strategic alignment across NGC’s digital initiatives. The implementation also set the stage for future personalization efforts, empowering NGC to better tailor content to specific audiences — from job seekers to partners and press — based on engagement behavior and intent.

The Results

Driving Measurable Outcomes from Day One

The results of the redesign were immediate and measurable. The new NGC website launched with a 30% increase in page speed, earning a spot in the top 1% of websites globally according to Google PageSpeed Insights. This performance boost significantly improved the user experience, especially for job seekers using mobile devices or navigating from search engines.

NGC also saw a 17% increase in organic search referrals, a testament to the improved structure, load times, and content clarity. Internally, the organization experienced smoother collaboration and faster turnaround times for content updates -- critical for a company operating in high-stakes, fast-moving environments.

Perhaps most importantly, the new platform was designed with an eye toward the future. With a flexible, headless architecture and support for composable integrations, NGC is now positioned to scale its digital capabilities over time — whether through personalization, advanced search features, or potential SaaS migration — without having to start over.
